Brazil Dance World Dance was founded in 2006 by choreographer, dance instructor, performer and event organizer Goreti Cardoso. Originally from Brazil, Goreti started her dance career at the age of 17 taking Brazilian Ballroom dance classes. In 2001, she joined Pé de Valsa Dance Company in Brazil. Trained by the best dance professionals in Bahia, Brazil, two years later she became a professional dance instructor. She has taught, performed and choreographed in Brazil, U.S. and Canada.

In 2006, she started teaching in Toronto as well as performing, choreographing and directing her own dance company. Brazil Dance World offers regular classes and workshops in Brazilian social dance styles.

Brazil Dance World is often invited to perform and teach at different events and occasions such as festivals, fundraising dinners, as well as public and private parties. Goreti Cardoso and her partner Lucas Amaral have gained the praise of dance professionals and critics performing technically rich and fun dance numbers.

Brazil Dance World participates in the main festivals of the Brazilian community such as The Annual Brazilfest and the Brazilian Day Canada and has participated in conventions in Quebec and Saskatchewan. Brazil Dance World has also donated its talent and skills to charity organizations such as, Saint Christopher House, the World Partnership Walk and many others.
